One of the most commonly ridden G4B routes - a mixture of flat with a hill thrown in for good measure.

Any route out of Loveland will involve a hill to get started since you are starting by the Little Miami River.  The route is entirely paved with one hill later in the ride.  There are some rollers, but nothing big.

The route begins as many G4B routes due, by riding up Steate Route 48.  This is a high speed road with a good amount of traffic in the early evening hours.  Drivers are very used to having cyclists riding up this road.  It is very important to maintain groups of no more than 8 riders and single file.

The turn off of Rt 48 onto Harrison takes you down a nice decent to Grog Run, that runs by a creek through the trees.  Towards the end of Grog Run there is a short hill.  Grog Run ends at Murdock-Goshen Rd, which is a common regroup location if the group was large enough to split into groups heading up Rt 48.  The road names hold a clue as to where they lead.  The directional names tell you the a road runs between Goshen and Murdock, but the problem might be that Murdock may not really be a town that really exists at this time.

This route is painted on the road with 3 orange dots.  If there is a turn, the last dot will be in the direction of the turn.

At mile 16 you will turn right onto Morrow-Woodville Rd.  This is a very nice stretch with a few rollers and some fast speeds if you are with a group.  The route takes a few turns once you get into Butlerville, and eventually gets back onto Morrow-Woodville for a really nice decent into Morrow.

Prior to reaching Morrow you will turn left onto Morrow-Rossburg Rd. for the route's only real climb.  Once you have completed this climb, it is a right turn onto Bennett Rd. and some rollers on the way back to Loveland.

When you pass through the intersection of Foster-Mainville and Rt 48 in Mainville, be sure to put your foot down at the stop sign so the local authorities do not harass you about it.

back to the bike trail is a steep decent but very short.  Turn left onto the bike trail at the bottom of the hill.
