A nice rolling route that will take you through the small community of Locust and then Hagerman Wildlife Refuge. There is a very short (less than 1/4 mile) of dirt just before the entrance to Hagerman. It's very smooth and has never presented any kind of problem.

Route Details

# Route

* Park at @poi[Texoma Bicycle Works](1737316) in Sherman, TX. 
* @slice[Ride north on Texoma Parkway](d,0,1780.12) a short way to Knight Rd.  @slice[Hang a left here, then a right onto Theresa Rd](d,1714.75,2486.6), which treats you with a twisty descent to the Hwy 75 service road. 
* After a little while on the Hwy 75 service road you'll make your way via country roads to @point[Pottsboro](d,16873.59) where you'll eventually go north across FM 1417 just east of town. *There are options for water and services in town if needed.*  
* The road begins to @slice[kick up with some rollers](d,29159.73,33727.53) as you make your way  on Georgetown Rd to the Locust Community.
* Water Services are avialble at @poi[the Locust store](1737320), but restrooms can be limited at times.
* After the Locust store it's mostly @slice[a mellow ride all the way to Hagerman](d,36399.27,46496.62), with just a few climbs of note.
* You will be on @slice[FM120 for a short time](d,42018.91,42539.75) which can have some traffic.

# Notes

* There is a @poi[low water](1756580) crossing in [Hagerman](http://www.fws.gov/refuge/hagerman/) that is usually dry. You can call ahead to check the status. (903) 786-2826
* If it has water in it you can @slice[backtrack down Hagerman Rd](d,44963.56,47703.71) to Hwy 289 where you can ride south and pick the route up again at @point[Refuge Rd](d,55428.34). 
* Reccomended for road bikes. The very short section of dirt road does not require any special equipment.
* Water and services are marked on the map.
