## Vrh Svetih treh kraljev
**Vrh Svetih treh kraljev** is one of the famous trip in Polhograjski Dolomiti which includes four pikes such as Šentjošt, Smrečje, Vrh Svetih treh kraljev and Žažar. It requires rather good condition of the biker. The trip begins and finishes at the same point that is Lesnina parking place where @poi[Pizzeria Buf](1750318) is located. Location is very close to the highway E61 (Ljubljana ring). The hotel @poi[Four Points](1750376) is located just across the highway. If you need to adjust your bike the @poi[bike shop Svad](1750317) is located few hundred meters from the start destination. The road is asphalt road convenient for road and also mountain bikes. Mostly is running through forests, meadows and villages where you can rest and get good food and drink in pubs. The trip is around 70 km long and it will take you from three to three and a half hours. The traffic is not so heavy.

Leaving the parking place at Pizzeria Buf we roll the roundabout towards Bokalci where near abandoned castle Bokalci the @slice[first descend](d,521.39,972.3) starts. The traffic is not so heavy, especially during weekends. After 11.5 km we get @photo[source of drinking water](1443523) that is located very close to one of the @photo[gothic church](1443529).

Few hundred meters after @photo[gothic church](1443529) we need to turn perpendicularly on the left across the wooden bridge over stream Gradaščica towards village Dolenja vas at Polhov Gradec. Before village Zaklanec we get the @slice[second descent](d,16007.42,17706.39), where we need to put attention on the in front coming cars. Before descent we have nice view on a church on the neighbor hill and the @photo[valley below the road.](1446840)
At the bottom of the hill we need to turn on right and ride towards @point[Horjul](d,19080.74). On the way to Horjul we rich the @poi[Pub at Škof](1750381) where you can buy food and drink or you can buy some snacks in Horjul at @poi[petrol station](1750310) owned by company Petrol. After the village Horjul you will reach following village @photo[Vrzdenec](1443895), where @slice[an uphill begins](d,21226.86,26822.71) which finishes at pub @photo[Brunarica Grič](1443536) at the top of the @photo[village Šentjošt](1443541). On the middle of this uphill there is a @photo[crossroad Horjul-Gorenja vas](1443534). From village Šentjošt you ride down the hill towards @poi[village Smrečje](1750314). Few kilometers after @point[Šentjošt](d,26276.69) you will get the @point[crossroad](d,29642.56).

At the village @photo[Smrečje](1443979) you will get the @poi[pub](1750313) and after the pub you will see the @photo[church](1443739) where you need to turn on the right and ride on to have a church on your ride side. Then you will get the @photo[crossroad Železniki-Rovte](1443519). You need to choose the left side and ride straight through the village @photo[Vrh Svetih treh kraljev](1299638). The road is uphill all the time; it is smooth and takes you near @photo[Fire station](1443513) and @poi[Brunarica Vrh Svetih treh kraljev.](1750315)

On the @poi[top](1750316) of the @photo[hill](1299635) near the @photo[church](1299634) and graveyards you will get a beautiful view on all sides. On the east there are the nearby Polhov Gradec Hills (Polhograjski Dolomiti), to the right one can see the Ljubljana Basin (Ljubljanska kotlina), behind it are the Kamnik Alps; towards the southeast above Barje rises Krim, in the same direction one can see the nearby Ulovka with ski slopes; on the south side spreads the plateau between the Logatec Basin (Logaška kotlina) and Žiri Basin (Žirovska kotlina), and Rovte in the vicinity, in the Logatec Basin one can see a part of Logatec and on the north above the Logatec Basin rises Planina and the ski slopes on Ulovka, farther towards the south are Trnovski gozd, Javornik, Hrušica, Javorniki and Snežnik; on the west side is the hilly landscape towards the Žiri Basin where one can see  Žiri, and  the Idrija Hills (Idrijsko hribovje) towards the west; on the north side there are the nearby hills above the  Račeva Valley with   Lavrovec, Goli and  Žirovski vrh, and farther on the Škofja Loka mountains (Škofjeloško pogorje) with Blegoš, the Julian Alps with Triglav and the Karavanke. Riding back to the parking place where you start riding you will need to put attention on the two crossroads at @poi[POI1](1750569) and @poi[POI2](1750570). Few hundred meters before POI2 you will see far away the @photo[church](1443588) in village Podlipa. Turning Left at POI2 you will reach @poi[village Žažar](1750338). After then you will ride on smooth asphalt road on @slice[nice descent](d,45961.48,48090.25) and reach the crossroad at village Vrzdenec and ride the same road by which you came.

# Important Reminders

The payment methods are cards or cash (EUR), but please be aware those in some of the mountain huts credit cards are not acceptable. Parking place at the Hotel Four points is payable.

**Safety warnings:**

Also the parking place at Pizzeria Buff is closed during night hours. Around the liturgies on Sunday mornings or church holidays can be higher traffic near the churches. Traffic becomes heavier also during working days when people live the work and drive home or from home to their working place.
