100 mile route going through some of the more rural towns in NJ. Some areas have rolling hills but nothing very steep. Roads, for the most part, are well maintained.

Route Details

Every year in May, our Club offers a ride called "Farmlands."  This is made up of rides from 18 miles to 100 miles.  This 100 mile ride goes through small towns and less traveled road ways. The roadway is usuly marked with a circle and white arrow which are painted by us. 
# Route
Route starts at Brookdale Community College at Larson Hall where there are plenty of spaces to park.  The route starts and ends at the college going through rural areas that includes beautiful houses and horse farms.
You will pass through some picturesque communities such as @point[Bordentown](d,70729.8) with its quaint buildings.

# Notes

You will be passing the @point[Etra Lake Park](7ebc3f9672617349af140000) going and coming back-see food stop on map.  You can break this ride up into smaller segments fairly easily using "Ride with GPS."  You can also end the ride through Thompson Park by getting onto the @point[path at Thompson Park](d,158353.21), keeping the main Road (Newman Springs Road) on your left.
Bring plenty of water and snacks.  There are rest stops at a few parks going to and from. 
On the return trip, shortly after passing the Colts Kneck Police Station, you can go through Thompson Park to get to Brookdale.  You should see arrows that we painted, if not, keep the main road to your left as you ride the paved path.  It ends near the Monmouth Museum which is located on the College property.  Continue riding to Lot 7.

# Points of Interest
**Probasco-Dittmar Farmstead, 61 Bucks Mill Road, Colts Kneck, NJ:**
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places: The oldest section of the house is from 1760 and the wheel from the grist mill (located across the street) according to the plaque on the road, is from 1740.

**Parks:** There are a few parks along the way, one of the best being @point[Bucks Mill](d,149741.112) with a gazebo that has electricity and bird houses which are best seen with binoculars.  It's the strange looking white structure on the side of the gazebo.  The birds who live there help keep pesky insects away.  This park is found on the return trip.There are icons on the map which mark the parks.
