Parking is easy, just park in the village on any of the access roads.

In Morebattle there is a village shop that is open only in the morning.  There is a small cafe in what was once a church. The opening hours are limited. The local pub is Temple Hall and this serves food and has accommodations.

With Morebattle institute on your left and village school on the right you will leave the village. You will be riding on a fast smooth road which can be described as rolling with some short hills, not steep. There are a few side roads leading to further interesting rides, but those are for another day.

After 4.5 miles you will come to a crossroads for @point[A698](d,7350.85). You will turn right here. Just to the left is the Teviot smokery water garden, where you can get food and drink or just wander around the gift shop.

You will travel a short distance on this busy road but soon turn left onto @point[quiet country roads](d,7379.58) with very little traffic. Follow the details of the route, but if you want a longer ride there are plenty of alternative roads which will add distance.

Woodside garden centre (with tea rooms) is not too far away. If you wish to visit you would stay on B6400 and not come back over the bridge onto the A698.

This takes you back onto the A698 and you ride down back to the Teviot Smokery Water Garden 
The Teviot Watergardens are a must visit for any garden lover and have been featured in many magazines and TV programmes.

Nisbet is a small hamlet on the B6400, in Roxburghshire, along the River Teviot, in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland. It is located 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) north of Jedburgh and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of Roxburgh.

Travel along A698 until you see sign for right hand turn for @point[Eckford](d,6233.01).  Follow the road to the end and then turn right back onto @point[Morebattle Road](d,18846.37).  Continue traveling until you come to a left hand turn sign for @point[Caverton Mill](d,22754.81).

Turn left, then on up the hill. Don't take the right hand turn but follow the road up the hill. It is quite gentle; not very steep with lovely views. Follow this to the end then turn right again to @point[return to Morebattle](d,25719.76).

Ride along downhill mostly with a slight rise down past Frogden and Linton until the road bends sharply to the right. Follow this round then up over the small  @point[bridge](d,29809.06).

Stay on the same road going uphill into Morebattle where the ride ends.
