Creating mass participation cycle rides across the UK
With an increasing number of traffic free routes out of the city you'll quickly find yourself in the beautiful surrounding countryside; from the Cotswold and Mendip Hills to the Severn Valley and Somerset Levels. All abilities can enjoy the surroundings.
I have been providing quality routes for over a decade for mass participation day cycle rides across the UK. I have a love of maps and finding interesting routes. I search for views or interesting places and will bring you some of my favourites in my area.
I also thoroughly enjoy cycling, whether with my son, or off across the countryside. I may not be the fastest but I enjoy the distance being an active member of Audax Club Bristol. Through that involvement I have also become an Audax organiser and aim to provide a selection of rides highlighting the beauties of the south west and beyond under the auspices of The Great Western Randonees
Also I'm a Bikeability instructor mainly for yr 5 and 6 kids but also offer 1:1 for adults through Bristol City Council's free scheme (for residents):
Then there is the bikes; "n+1" and all that! I love steel and ornate lugs of yore with a few frames adorning the walls. As such I'm a dab hand at mechanics offering Dr Bike sessions locally. I endevour to pass some of this on as a youth worker at a couple of local adventure playgrounds offering kids the ability to come and service their bikes.
