Nice ride along the river (especially for those who don't know about the beauty of Jacksonville Florida) with much of it newly paved, through parks and along the bike path on the river. The ride through the old residential area by the Yacht Club provides a relaxing ride and many photo opportunities. The trip back to Jacksonville Landing provides the chance to take a break at the end of the ride and enjoy a cold drink before the short ride back to your vehicle. (less)

This is a great ride that you can take from either direction. This description assumes the ride goes from Hawthorne to Gainesville, but it could go easily start in Gainesville.
This is a beautiful ride with much of the trail recently being re-paved. There are several places to stop and take a side trip, well work it for the overlooks. When you get to Gainesville, or if you start in Gainesville, you can venture around Gainesville and check out the University of Florida. This is the perfect way to spend 2 1/2 hours enjoying nature and a well laid out bicycle path. (less)
