Create great cycling experiences.
The Ride with GPS Area Ambassador Program has four primary components:
Area Ambassadors: Local experts that have an intimate knowledge of cycling in their area and a strong interest in promoting high quality cycling experiences.
Curated Routes: High quality routes created and maintained by ambassadors that meet a certain criteria to ensure quality and completeness.
Recognition: Ambassador routes will be clearly identified so any visitor will know they are viewing a high quality, curated route. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to promote their profile, which can be used in any way that contributes positively to cycling (ambassadors can promote their club, their cycling-friendly business, etc).
Promotion & distribution: Ride with GPS will increase the exposure of ambassador routes by ranking them at the top of search results, building a prominent directory only consisting of ambassadors & their routes, and by partnering with select organizations to syndicate ambassador routes to other websites.
For details on setting up Ambassador Routes, see the Ambassador Content Guidelines.
Local area cyclists will explore routes they haven't done before, and cyclists from elsewhere will travel to ride these great routes that are no longer a local secret. With more rides, and more riders, come benefits to the local economy and increased support of cycling in the community.
We want Ambassador Routes to be spread far and wide – they are the highest quality cycling routes around, meant to be viewed by as many people as possible. We encourage you to embed the routes in your website, freely share the PDF cue sheet, and contact us directly about more custom integrations.
Area Ambassadors are knowledgeable locals with a vested interest in promoting great cycling experiences in their area. Ambassadors will come from cycling clubs, bike shops, local businesses, trail alliances, and the cycling community. As an ambassador, your business or organization will be in the spotlight, giving you the opportunity to engage with local cyclists and cyclists looking to visit.
