With great thought and discussion among several members, Blackwater Cyclist Club has a focus for 2014. Our focus is to plan and execute a weekly riding schedule that ALL members can participate in. Planning rides that accommodate all riding styles and levels. Our sport pretty much is based on two principles that brought us to the sport in the first place. 1) Exercise and fitness & 2) Fellowship with other riders. I personally look back on my rides and the ones that had a big group turn out, were the ones that were more enjoyable. I have also enjoyed several "Racing" type rides but fellowship with friends I have made through cycling has made the best memories. All that being said, here is a proposed schedule of rides and types of rides that we will look to implement.
Tuesday 5:15 pm @ Qsac = High Tempo, Higher Speed Avg
Thursday 5:15 pm @ Qsac = Calling All Riders. Smooth, Enjoyable Ride with Zero High Tempo
Saturday = Members to schedule different routes pending on personal schedules
Sunday 1:45 pm @ Qsac = Way less Intensity than Tuesday but Just a Bit More Tempo than Thursday. ( Still with the thought of keeping the group a "Group" ).
