5 year anniversary of the accident today and still trying to get around hip, chest, shoulder, gut and breathing issues on leftside,. Probably overdid it in past two weeks while trying to change my breathing pattern whenever on a steep climb, now any little climb leaves me feeling like a punch to the guts, winded, pain radiating out from the leftside and becoming blinding even after I've got over a rise, for several minutes sometime, leading to a fatigue condition that I have to wean off during the ride.
With this in mind I did today's Audax. Even the slight rise of the bikepath next to Guildford Rd leading to Collier St was a gut-wrenching effort. Ridge Hill Rd I got up but not without stopping for a minute near the top to flush away the pain buildup. The second climb on Holmes was too far, I had to walk near the top. Patterson Hill I only got a short ways and walked the rest, in the past I've ridden this on my racer with big chainrings no probs. Took a good break at Mundijong, actually ate some food instead of just drinking through the day, didn't last long though, just after left the final checkpoint on Safety Bay Rd did a CSPV (cruising speed projectile vomit) along the side of the bikepath. Probably saved that bit of verge from erosion for some time but didn't leave me feeling great.
Obviously more work needs to be done on this whole breathing thing. Other bright notes of the day, got yelled at by some yob at the last checkpoint that I needed a shower, he was standing the other side of a large rubbish bin, the idiot. Plus found $10 on the verge at Mundijong, money for the slushee fund.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Well done Dave. Despite the difficulties faced, you did well to finish and qualify.
Interesting place to get you top speed of almost 70kph! Watch out pedestrians!
