*Close proximity, wonderfully smooth pavement and great views are only a few of the reasons this is overwhelmingly the most popular road ride in the area. Beautifully maintained roads snaking through this housing community offers up just about every flavor of riding one would ever want. From rolling hills to long sweeping corners, get your bike fix and your fitness in within an hour and a half.*

This ride starts by going out @slice[Lakeshore Drive](d,3374.84,10409.16), a road that pays homage to it's name by offering up lake level panoramic views, with @slice[a single little rise](d,7343.37,8010.21) to help get the legs warmed up. 
While it doesn't have much of a shoulder and it is fairly well used by cars, the speed limit is restricted due to heavy deer traffic. Use caution, blinking lights and comfortably to the right of the road and you won't have a problem. Once you get to the end, don't jump on the highway and @point[take the bike path ](d,30313.74)into the development on your right.

Get around this road entirely by driving out to the @poi[firehouse](8640070) at the end of Lakeshore or simply parking in one of @point[Running-Y](d,12756.69)'s facilities.

**Once in the neighborhood, you can't really go too wrong in what route you pick:** *it's all really nice no matter what direction or road you're on.* 
* Expect moderately steep uphills that roll into each other with good sightlines around each corner. 
* Watch for gravel in early seasons around some of the corners. 
* Stay off the golf cart paths and keep in mind that people do live there (follow all normal traffic laws and be respectful).
