Route Details

Head East out of town on the Kim Williams Trail. Just as the second climb begins on Deer Creek Rd, @point[take a left](d,9829.15), and begin a brief climb up @photo[Crystal Creek Rd](14857609). A fast and engaging down hill will bring you back next to the Clark Fork River, and then on nice hard-pack to the Allen Creek turn off.

Switchbacking up over @photo[Miller Divide](14857600) and winding through the Lolo National Forest on engaging double track, brings you into the South side of the Pattee Canyon Recreation Area. The quick and flowy Sam Braxton Trail will bring you into the parking lot. Hook a right out of the parking lot and veer left at your first chance.

Connecting several tighter trails, up and down, Missoula is not far from sight. Crooked Trail emerges from Pattee Canyon low on on the southern face of Mount Sentinel. A @slice[sharp left](d,60956.5,61370) puts you on the MoZ trail and will swoop you down next to the university's golf course.
