**This route is excellent for families! Fantastic paved route with nice sightseeings.**

We advise to start at Viseu since it is easier to park your car and the route is easy to find. This route was made ontop of the old decommissioned railroad track, you can see an @photo[old vapor train](1664994) on the route.  [Linha do Dão](https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linha_do_D%C3%A3o), the old railway line between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu, was deactivated in 1988 and transformed into @photo[the beautiful Ecopista do Dão bikeway](1664978) in 2011.
