After leaving Barcelona riding @slice[Via Augusta](d,336.09,4265.15) you will follow the @slice[BV-1462](d,4461.46,8069.67) to @point[Vallvidrera](d,8053.73). The first 200-meter stretch at 10% is a good warmup for the rest of the climb which averages at 6%. Here you will certainly see some local cyclists flying up the hill or perhaps you can catch their wheel and draft along. After 3.5 km you'll arrive at @point[Vallvidrera](d,8053.73) from where you will descend to @point[La Floresta](d,14928.63). Good place in the morning to have a coffee is at @poi[Les Escales](2343499), home made pastries and Lavazza coffee!

After your coffee break, a little stretch uphill before you start the fast descent to La Rierada. From there you go up to @point[Sant Bartomeu de la Quadra](d,19140.12) and start the beautiful climb up @point[Santa Creu d' Olorda](d,23115.24) and after a small downhill keep heading to @point[Vallvidrera](d,8053.73) and cross the village to go in the direction of Tibidabo, which houses the oldest still functional amusement park in Europe. Again a steep section after leaving the village and after recovering a bit you will have the option to climb to the summit taking the parking approach, loved/hated by local cyclists for its @slice[+20% ramp](d,30906.24,31627.73).  Or take the easy way straight on and around the Tibidabo amusement park.

From Tibidabo go @slice[downhill](d,31776.85,39778.48) to @point[Sant Cugat](d,40694.68) and head to the town of @point[Cerdanyola](d,45544.7) to climb over the @slice[7 kilometers](d,45887.08,52821.79) long hill @point[Forat del Vent](d,52565.36) to Barcelona.

* Try to avoid riding around noon in summer to avoid the heat
* In the colder months the Collserola parc can be up to 10/C colder than Barcelona
