Northern Kentucky Road Rides

I've travelled over 140,000 miles by bicycle and have toured, self-guided and self-contained, pretty much everything east of the Mississippi and most of Western Europe and some of Eastern Europe. The northern Kentucky area remains one of my favorite places to travel by bicycle.

When cycling in northern Kentucky you can expect a mix climbing to ridge top roads with panoramic views of farms and woodlands and cycling on nearly flat roadways that follow the areas numerous rivers and streams.

Northern Kentucky is home to history such being the birthplace of American Paleontology at [Big Bone Lick State Park](http://parks.ky.gov/parks/historicsites/big-bone-lick/) to being the last stop on the [Underground Railroad](http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes-and-maps/adventure-cycling-route-network/underground-railroad-ugrr/) before crossing the Ohio River to freedom in the free state of Ohio.

Northern Kentucky is also home to history being made with its wealth of modern, ground breaking industry such as the [Toyota automobile manufacturing plant](http://www.toyotageorgetown.com/).
