Beautiful ride through the scenic farmlands West of Chicagoland into the edge of the Rock River valley and through the Kishwaukee River watershed, with a breakfast stop near midpoint of the ride. Flat to rolling terrain. While most of the roads are rural, this ride is best for an early Saturday or Sunday start or during the week after morning rush hour. It is a predominantly an East-West loop, best ridden when the winds are from the West. (less)

A classic hard day in the saddle on the hilly roads West of New Glarus, Wisconsin. The first part of the ride goes through several small towns and rustic roads to Yellowstone Lake for a water stop. Next you're off to the town of Argyle for lunch at Irma's Kitchen (39.6 miles), then back to New Glarus on more rustic country roads with great views. This will be a challenging day for climbing, with 14 major peaks, but also one of the prettiest rides you will ever do, with classic Southwestern Wisconsin vistas and ridge rides. If you like climbing and descending fast, you will love this ride! (less)

A hilly ride out to Mineral Point, West of New Glarus. Lunch (pasties of course) at the Red Rooster Cafe at the 33 mile mark. Return trip is through the rustic area just South of Yellowstone Lake, with a water stop in Argyle at 56 miles before returning to New Glarus. This is a long ride, but all on good highways.
