activity_types, track_points, course_points and points_of_interest are only given when requesting the record details. They are not included in the responses of requests for collection of records.

The owner can change name, description, visibility and activity_types (routes) or activity_type (trips) with PUT /api/v1/routes/{id}.json and PUT /api/v1/trips/{id}.json, and archive a route with archived. Other attributes, including the track, cannot be changed.

  1. visibility is one of public, followers_only, mutual_followers_only, private (organizations use public, members_only, managers_only)↩
  2. On trips, last_lat and last_lng are null when the track passes through a privacy zone, unless you own the trip or pass its privacy_code↩
  3. track_type is one of loop, out_and_back, point_to_point, unknown↩
  4. terrain is one of flat, rolling, climbing↩
  5. difficulty is one of casual, easy, moderate, hard, multi_day↩
  6. surface is one of paved, mostly_paved, mixed_surfaces, mostly_unpaved, unknown↩
