Route Details

# Made by a local for locals. 
Put on your fun pants (jorts) and grab your camera for Austin's premiere chill ramble.

Meet up at the @poi[Odom Pavilion](109825453) on the Town Lake Trail (yes, TOWN Lake) and ride in either direction. Though there are many options for fuel and refreshments along the route, I've marked several of my favorites: [Tacodeli](https://order.thanx.com/tacodeli), [Yellow Jacket Social Club](https://www.instagram.com/yellowjacketsocialclub/?hl=en), [Pershing](https://www.instagram.com/pershingcoffeestaples/), and the @photo[Stop n' Tote](14921725).

Once you've harvested the goods, kickback on @photo[Montop bridge](14921728) and watch the the Colorado River flow by. After a beer and a taco or two, make your way through the jungle-ish Roy G. park. @slice[Keep your head on a swivel and respect the Disc Golfers. ](d,9167.4,10546.5)

The remainder of the route is on the hike and bike trail, watch out for selfie-stick swinging tourists and trail joggers. There are many good photo opportunities and good spots for that second or fifth beer.

By now you have built up a well earned sweat (even though its Christmas day) so catch some reprieve from the saddle and take a plunge into @poi[Barton Springs](109825457). Once you've chilled down make the final climb up to the @poi[Zilker Look Out](109825452) to catch the sunset and empty your handlebar bag of its liquid bread freight.

But wait there's more... a quick but gut punching hill will take you to Stratford Road (@point[WATCH FOR CARS](d,20803.94)). After a dope downhill make a @point[hard left ](d,21572.56)back on to the hike and bike trail to cross the lake.

**Important Reminders:**

* Cyclist must yield to clueless tourist and joggers running many abreast.
* Go slow, this route should take up most of your unemployed afternoon.
In all seriousness... Ride safe and be courteous to other outdoor enthusiasts.
