This route is for those who love rolling countryside punctuated with occasional rollers, a pleasant climb or two, a bit of wine tasting and a section to let the horses run - what we call the Fern Hill "Freeway". It's a big loop starting in Hillsboro, traversing west to Verboort, heading south through Forest Grove - home to Pacific University - and then back through more beautiful rolling farm country and suburban Hillsboro. Starting in Hillsboro, it rambles south down the Tualatin Valley through Forest Grove and Gaston - bottoming out near the town of Yamhill. The mid-point turn is a gorgeous and challenging ride around the Woodland Loop. (less)
