After a moderate and steady climb heading north out of town, this route rolls through gentle hills along Pleasant View, Galena and Frog Pond Roads.

This route allows for a short ride to take in some bucolic views ending back in the Downtown area, and offering many options for rejuvenating food and beverages.

**PARKING**: Park in @poi[Wharf Area Parking Lot](3913905) located just behind Black Dog Bikes.

**START:** @poi[Black Dog Bikes](3928562), 121 S. Lewis St., Staunton Virginia 24401

**DIRECTION:** The loop begins in downtown Staunton and heads out of town into Augusta County on Springhill Road.

**DIFFICULTY/CHALLENGES:** This is an advanced beginner to intermediate ride. The ride is short and the climbs are relatively mellow for this area.

The route is entirely on paved roads, with one large intersection crossing going out of town at @poi[VA 262/Woodrow Wilson Parkway](1752668), and a @slice[0.30-mile section of US 250 between Galena and Frog Pond Roads](d,13336.42,13845.73). Cross @poi[VA 262](1752668)  and @poi[US 250](3857569) with caution.

**FACILITIES ON ROUTE:** The route starts in downtown Staunton with opportunities for food and restrooms. The route ends near many downtown @poi[restaurants](3844549), @poi[breweries](3914357) and @poi[wine bars](3928326) to complete your ride experience.
