Bicycle routes along and near the Natchez Trace Parkway.

## The Natchez Trace Parkway is a scenic, 444-mile-long, two-lane road managed by the national park service that generally follows the route of the Old Natchez Trace wilderness trail from Natchez, MS to Nashville, TN.

Every year, thousands of cyclists from all over the world bike all or part of the designated bicycle route that features beautiful scenery and historical sites.

I have been creating itineraries for cyclists since 2009. In the past 12 months over 600 cyclists have requested an itinerary for their solo or group ride of all, part of or an out and back bike trip on the Parkway.

Several months ago I began creating RidewithGPS routes. The app is amazing! Below are the four types of routes that you can find in our [Route Library](https://ridewithgps.com/organizations/7874-natchez-trace-travel/routes?):

1 - Biking on the Natchez Trace Parkway (separate biking north to south and biking south to north)

2 - Loop Routes - part on the Parkway and part off the Parkway (separate biking clockwise and counter clockwise)

3 - Routes off the Parkway - but located near the Parkway

4 - Detour Routes - around Parkway closures

This 27-mile-long paved route is located near Franklin and Nashville, Tennessee and the northern terminus of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Nine miles of the loop route are on the Parkway while other parts of the route take you thru the pastoral Fernvale community and the historic village of Leiper's Fork.
