One of my favorite loops starting and ending in downtown Bentonville that's family friendly and showcases the best of Bentonville trails in a perfect 10 mile ride.
Starting downtown Bentonville, the route takes you through Compton Gardens and into Slaughter Pen on the Razorback Greenway. Keep an eye out on the trails next to you - you're sure to see mountain bikers on the single track that parallels the first bit of this route.
After a quick detour around the Crystal Bridges expansion (there is plenty of signage), you'll hop back on the Razorback Greenway. The route winds through Slaughter Pen, wrapping around to both the Bicycle Playground and the Bentonville Bark Park (with restrooms, water refill stations, and bike repair stands.)
The route continues onto North Walton Trail, which is a bit of a climb but a nice alternative to the very busy North Walton Boulevard (which shouldn't be ridden on.)
At the top of the North Walton Climb, you can either turn left and return towards downtown, or continue to follow the route to Coler Mountain Bike Park. The greenway winds through the park, with lots of options for detours and mountain biking. At mile 7, you'll come across Airship Coffee, a little oasis that is only accessible via bike or foot.
After a break for beer, food, or coffee, it's back on the bike for a short ride out of the park and onto 3rd Ave. Bentonville recently installed a new protected bike lane on 3rd, which leads you all the way back to Walton Street. Once you cross the arterial, you'll be back on low-traffic residential streets, where you can make your way back to the Bentonville Square.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
