Phoenix Bikes Ride (23-01)

My first Phoenix Bikes ride of 2023! The last two in 2022 were canceled due to rain and temps and today didn't look promising earlier in the week. But the weather improved and it turned out to be a bright and sunny day and NO rain, not even the threat! And it warmed up to the point that I (and a few other adults) were overheating. The kids did great though with half as many layers. I'm still "learning" the ropes with this group but coming down Mt. Vernon Avenue, we were told to "take the lane" and we did! Sharrows and all. Of course, I rode sweep and made sure we owned that lane!

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
