Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I started out to follow the route I planned last night (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/22803306). However, when I got to the turn around point at the north end I decided to go another little bit and check out the park that is supposed to be there. I am very glad I did. I very much enjoyed. The park had a little loop that was totally canopy covered. There is no way an upright bike would have been comfortable on it, but the trike was awesome going very slowly.
When I got back to the point I had planned to turn around I stopped and talked to somebody for over an hour. Then I returned to the southern end of the Murdock Canal Trail. I decided to go east just less than a mile to a convenience store to get some cold ice water instead of the 100 degree water I was drinking from the faucets at the park. I also got a couple of sports drinks (0 calorie).
I then decided to return via the Provo River Trail. A few places were still under water from the recent flooding so I had to do a couple of detours.
I decided to go all the way to Utah lake even though it would add a fair distance, but I was feeling good.
The Provo River Trail has many places with heaves and rooted path which was annoying and rough. At one point I was concerned about how rough it was on the trike.
By the time I started back from the dead end spur, the wind really started to blow. It was getting stuff in my eyes. But, it settled down. I returned on the road, but kept off of Geneva Rd. as much as possible. I only had a couple hundred feet to ride on Geneva Rd. That was nice. Coming up the last hill just before home was just surviving because I was so exhausted. That is not surprising since I burned 3466 calories after only consuming less than 400 calories. I just put it in granny gear and survived up the hill.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
RidewithGPS had issues uploading a few photos, which is disappointing, but I got most of them uploaded.
