In all my years here in Tucson this is the FIRST time I have actually ridden the entire loop. It is still not complete. I got lost at Craycroft (where the last section is still under construction) until Thad showed me how to ride to Glen and over to Tanque Verde and hop back on the new section. The rest went fine. It is LOVELY. 54-55 fairly level miles that sample a number of different neighborhoods. It just had a good feel about it and I hope to do it many times in the future.
I liked going clock-wise but it would be fun to reverse it too.
Pima County has done a magnificent job in constructing this gem. I suspect many tourist will come to ride this jewel.
I used today for training for the Cochise Classic in 3 weeks. This was an easy day between my 5x8min intervals and my 75 mi tempo ride. I kept the watts and bpm down. It was a very nice workout and I didn't get tired at all. 150W avg & 16.8bpm avg.
I met a number of nice folks along the way where I collected cards for the drawings which I didn't win.
I also met Elaine from Perimeter and introduced myself. She seems like a very friendly and competent person. She is going to email the woman who should contact me.
My back is very tender and I began day with ibuprofen and a muscle relaxant. I did the same routine again when I got home. Wrist is also sore. Got to get better in the next 3 weeks as I prepare to ride with John Howard in Douglas.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
