Finally I have pushed through and worked several days on the SL after work. Tweaking to fit myself took a lot of time and I had to put the cleats back to a more usual spot under the shoes, otherwise I could not cycle without hitting my knees and toes against the body. The rear wheelbox took a full afternoon to make sure the spokes did not hit against it. Time and again I had to grind a bit off and test. There was no way to do this with a machine, I had to do it by hand because there is so little space to work. All the work now pays off. It seems I got it right in most respects. I have to do something about the comfort of the seat. The middle of my back is not supported and even just an hour of cycling is hard on my back. I'm trying to fill the seat up and see how it goes next time around!
