Tomoko on Southern Tier day 3

Stayed/started at Jacumba Hot Springs Spa, a very nice hotel and they let me camp there. The ride starts out with 500 feet of climbing over 5 miles, a nice warm up. And then you hit highway 8 and a screaming 10 mile downhill. I had to use my brakes so I wouldn’t take flight because the winds roar through on top of a 6% awesome descent. At the end of the hill comes Ocotillo and one of the worst paved roads that could still be considered pavement. You had to focus to not fall into the cracks and crevasses. So you have to go slowly besides the head winds were pretty strong . Ate lunch in Seeley at a taco stand and then pedal with a good wind at my back to Brawley.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
