Tomoko on Southern Tier day 50

Today’s ride was a rather short day because something crazy happened. I was riding and a car pulled over to the side of the road and two men got out and started walking toward me. I did not recognize them and then one called out my name but it was so out of context that I wasn’t sure. It turned out that I had met one of the men in Kerrville, TX. We had chatted on the road because he saw my sign that said “San Diego-New Orleans fossil fuel free” . He was from New Orleans so we exchanged information and planned to get back in touch after I arrived. And lo and behold, he saw me on the toad and stoppped. He offered me a ride and I took it because I wanted to maximize my time in New Orleans. How unlikely and extraordinary.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
