Sunday afternoon/night "recovery" ride with Kim, following my Heartbreak Double Century on Saturday. My computer died during out climb to Mill Creek Summit. My legs were not sore, but were without any energy to push the pace beyond regular peddling, and Kim easily rode away from me on the climbs until evening when the cold and miles and earlier climbing sapped her strength, and we rode to Mill Creek Summit "companionably" (compared to my trying to claw back 10 yards at a time and finish before she'd fall asleep waiting for me). As Pete would say, she tried to "kill" me! Kim hit some rocks on the descent to Newcomb's Ranch, and suffered a flat. I was waiting and rode back up to her, no more than 1/2 mile where she was putting her rear wheel back on. That was at the end of civil twilight, and Kim discovered that her fully charged light was actually dead, so we rode in formation the rest of the way so she could see from my headlight. It was in the high 40's and low 50's from Dawson Saddle on, and, while my "envelope" saved me, I needed arm warmers to be comfortable; the arm "coolers" were probably hurting more than helping, and it took a while in the car with the heater on before I stopped shivering. Think I'll learn my lesson...?

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
