A terrific ride in brilliant sunshine with a slight, cool breeze. Rode out to meet Mike in Richmond along Bridgeport road, arrived late due to my very first flat on my Trek Domane. I have a feeling that won't be the last!
Rode out to Steveston where we had coffee, then returned for a fast ride along the dyck and along rural Richmond roads. After saying goodbye to Mike, I headed north and started the climb up Cypress at almost exactly 100 km into the ride. Needless to say, I took it easy going up the mountain.. The Trek handled the descent beautifully... very smooth, very easy to control, and approx. 5-10 km faster than on my old bike.
Stopped at Trek Multi Sport on the way home, where I bought the bike, to do some minor gearing adjustments. A very nice shakedown ride before heading to Colorado on Tuesday!
