Starting to ride with a bit more pace now and paying more attention to Wattage then HR. I was aiming for the "sweet spot" tonight, which is in the range of 245-264w but tonights effort (according to GC) was a little bit past that. Since my FTP test a few weeks back showed my FTP to be around 280w, I'm beginning to wonder if I should do that test again based on tonights average wattage of 271w. If I can sustain that for 85 minutes, I must be able to do better than 280w for 20 minutes? On the other hand, Training Peaks is reporting an average power of 258w and a Normalised Power of 281w putting me in the "sweet spot" so not sure why Garmin Connect is showing an average of 271w??? I think I'll trust Training Peaks.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
