Coastal Distancing

Based on OMTM's Coast Range Rambler https://ridewithgps.com/ambassador_routes/333-coast-range-rambler-cochran-mcgregor-s-s but we opted for starting at the Sunset Rest Stop instead of at Reeher's Camp. We think that this might be more desirable especially given how much climbing you have to contend with.

Round Top and Bell Camp puts the hurt in you and you fear for what happens after the descent, which levels out and it seems that the valley floor falls out from you, You cross the Salmonberry Trail and still have fun riding until you hit Wheeler Cutoff and then you curse anything and everything.. But on our little adventure that was the end of the pain...

If you ever what to experience what a climber's dream is this is a route for you. Mortals suffer...

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
