CLOCKWISE> Starting from the flat rock baseball park, this loop is terrific to Chatswood shopping centre. Then you pick your way through Chatswood and Roseville the the target being the Roseville. Bridge. Go under the super road and arrive at a bumpy footpaths across the bridge. Then there is a lot of climbing to the footbridge over the bridge. You then ride back roads near Warringah Rd till you get to some brand new shared path on Warringah Rd. Follow that to Allambie Rd. You then have a slow shared path on the side of Alambie Rd or some great and not great bicycle infrastructure down to Allambie Heights Public School.
You can continue on the road down the hill or ride the back streets down towards Manly dam. They are all downhill so its a good run. Your target is a great little path at the end of Windella Rd. This gets you to King Street and misses all sorts of really busy stuff. You then head to Seaforth and down to the Spit Bridge.
Important that you go Clockwise becuase the cycle roads heading to the city are more fun than those from the city. They are all VERY STEEP up and down..
You with reach Long Gully Bridge before you know it. Walk across the road its busy and has no crossing. You are almost back to the the great trails.
Do this firstly on a Sunday. Its complex and you dont want too much traffic milling around.
