North Aurora-Sugar Grove Trail Ride 12-03-21

Seven. Mostly sunny, cool but comfortable in the low 50's, moderate ESE winds @ 5-6 mph. Did an exploration ride while the Subie was getting an oil change. Virgil Gilman and some other trails, including some grassland and woodland trails in a few Forest Preserves and out at Waubonsee CC. Kane County FP trails absolutely suck - poorly built, never compressed and not maintained. In addition to freeze/thaw bike tire trails all over, actual trail damage from the dumbasses that work for the FP driving their trucks on the limestone trails when they're wet.

Other than that, another beautiful gift of a day weather wise. similar to yesterday with a bit less wind.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
