You can park for free at the trailhead across the street from the Fish Lake North Fork Campground (http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/rogue-siskiyou/recarea/?recid=69832). There are pit toilets and you can pump water from the ground at the campsite (great place to camp too). This entire route is paved :) - Hwy 140 is very busy but has a massive shoulder, this stretch of Dead Indian can be fairly busy in the summer with RV and trailers hauling boats and has no shoulder at all. There is a good chance you won't see any cars on NF3720 / Brown Mtn Road :) This route can be done in either direction, I prefer clockwise to get the heavy traffic roads out of the way early in the ride. There are water fountains at the Aspen campground if you need to fill up your water bottles during the ride.
