Local Mixed Road and Trail Ride 2-08-23

Seven. Nice day for a change. Cool but mostly sunny, in the 30's, might have even hit 40, mild South winds, but... still snow on the ground. Jack and I started out going South on the River trail from Batavia and it quickly became apparent that there was snow and ice wherever the sun didn't hit. At one point, we exited the FRT and rode on Hwy 25.

So, we did an adventure ride going over some new roads and some roads not ridden in a long time. Didn't break any speed records but that's tough to do wearing all the crap you need to wear on a cold day. Good mix of trails, roads and neighborhoods and over 2 hours ride time. We hit the Crosstown Pub after for lunch, joined by Mary.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
