Cotton Ln Bridge Tragedy

2 cyclists died, including Karen, today when a pickup plowed into B Group at mile 12.1. I had moved to the front earlier than usual and had begun a small breakaway of 6 B-groupers as we started onto the bridge. We 6 waited in Estrella Park for them but the group never came. When we got back to Cotton Ln, police had it closed off so I merged with some A-group and went down Estrella Pkwy and but west toward Verrado. It wasn't until leaving Verrado that I met a group of usual B-group cyclists that had opted to do their own ride today instead of WVC ride. They informed me that Karen had been killed. Sad day. Rest in peace Karen.
