Checkpoint. Pretty nice day considering, Mostly sunny, temps in the high 40's and low 50's, pretty brisk SE winds that increased over the ride - most of the ride was into it but the last 12-13 miles was mostly with a tailwind. Rode with Jack, Greg and Rick. A pleasant ride overall, we mostly stuck together and did some pull trading. Only about 25% of the ride was on gravel, which was sometimes very sloppy and wet but sometimes pretty nice. Paved road conditions were great. My legs felt pretty good and I finished with plenty of gas in the tank, could have easily done 50 today. The route started from Kaneland HS, down to Little Rock and across over to Sugar Grove, then back up through Kaneville to KHS. Jack and I met up after the ride at the Crosstown Pub, met by Mary and Chris Thornton - nice to have a few beers with him since forever.
