Tombstone - Tour de Zona day 3

Got to the park just in time to catch the lead riders out of town. We decided to take it easy today but that didn't even last 10 minutes. The lead bunch was so fast we got to the aid station before its opening time. We powered on into the Tombstone climb with the lead group. We pushed hard as long as we could and the lead six rode off. Apparently they were in the red also because 15 minutes later we reattached. On the final climb the group splintered and we finished 5th. One of the riders commented "You guys ride the $h!% out of that thing". That felt pretty good.
Tombstone was a lot of fun again. We toured the Birdcage Theater and gambling hall. We took a nice walk up and down main Street. We ate some delicious gelato that was actually gelato. We had ribs, apple cobbler, and margaritas at the Longhorn Restaurant. Theresa was even able to Skype with her family for most of the ride back.
Another great Tour de Zona, hope to do it again.

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
