Emily was feeling more comfortable on the bike when we got to the second part.
We made it to the top of San Pedro Mtn. and on the first part down, the ruts had gotten bigger. I'm glad I rode my Stumpy. It just gave me the confidence to send it on the trail.
I think Emily could've as well be she stopped short of the last "drop". I told her the worst of it was over and we got going again. Rolling the flat section after and I heard Emily yell out. She had gotten caught up on some branches and went down. Got some scratches, hurt her wrist, potentially sprained it, and bump on her quad. I also had to adjust her back brake lever.
The trails definitely seemed rockier and looser than before the storms. But it was so clear and the views of the ocean were spectacular. Lots of wildflowers too. Unfortunately, also some jerk thistle weeds encroaching on the trail.
Later Emily kind of ran into another bush that took her down again. More minor but just kind of freak accident. This time I had to readjust her front brake lever. :)
I had a blast today. I was really feeling the flow and clearing tech I know I would've walked in the past.
After we went to Burger Board and took our burgers down to the beach.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
