Phone - no heart rate or cadence. I think I tried to set phone up first, but not sure. I did see HR connecting, but didn't wait for "connected" or a pulse reading.
Winter metric - riding never got above 30 degrees. When I parked at New London and the wind stopped, the thermometer registered in low 30s, but that was not the air temp.
I wore my riding boots for the first time this sseason. They helped a lot, but the ball of my foot still got chilled after an hour+. Need to try the possum liners for my century.
Going out, I hadn't put Vaseline on my cheeks - only my nose. So turned around (at mile 1.5) to get the bottle. On the front door mat I found the phone external battery which must have fallen out of my pocket. Sigh. Thank you /\.
I stopped at New London after every lap, so CCW 2 is way faster than #1.
The sun was out the whole day, so that helped a lot with the attitude adjustment.
Clyde was leading a 36 mile ride north to NH today. I decided that didn't give me enough bail out options if things got bitter.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
