Dropping the car off again! to have the newly installed secondary air control valves replaced. Did some backroading and new-roading. There are some really nice places in Westridge. Including houses that just decided to build over Farm Rd. On that map it shows it as a road that goes through but when you get to these houses, it just turns in to driveways. It would've been a nice detour if it went all the way through although there is some steep climbing at the start so I'm not sure how often I would've used it even if I could ride through. Planned this route to pass all the food stops since I wasn’t sure where I’d be when it was lunch time. Had a croffle for breakfast at Cloud9. Then on the way back, passed Alpine Inn and I wasn’t quite hungry yet even though it was the beginning of lunch time. I thought about stopping at Buck’s but still wasn’t hungry yet but shortly after, I did get hungry and my legs started to shut down. Oops. Ended up going to Sancho’s. I was hungry but also didn’t feel like eating. The Coke really hit the spot though. I had a couple unfortunate detours that meant extra climbing before and after lunch. I liked my detour of San Carlos Ave. It's longer and hillier but somehow feels less hard. It's also more peaceful being away from the cars which is the biggest benefit. It was cold in the morning which is what I dressed for but it was like yesterday. Warm in the sun, chilly from the wind and in the shade, only it was more chilly because today was windier. I eventually had to take it all off down to shorts and short sleeves even though it was a little chilly in the shade because it was too warm in the sun.
