Ride starts from Nestucca Valley Presbyterian church in Pacific City. Head north through town on Sandlake Rd. Gio right at the junction with McPhillips Drive. About 200 feet past the junction is a Road Closed sign. Scouted it to see if it was passable on bike. There is a major washout on the left side of the road heading north. The closure is about 1/10 of a mile. Continued on past Tierra del Mar, Sandlake Rec area and to the junction with Cape Lookout Rd. Sandlake Rd continues to the right, where there is a 1.3 mile hill, most of it at 5-6% grade. At mile 14 is Highway 101. Go south through Beaver, Hebo and Cloverdale. Most of this 11.5 mile stretch has minimal shoulder. Upon reaching Cloverdale, turn right on Old Woods Rd. This road crosses the Nestucca River. Old Wood Rd is 4.25 miles of rough rollers. At mile 29 is the intersection with Resort Drive. Go left to the Highway 101 junction. Opted to continue south to Highway 130. Wanted to add the Meda Loop, but southeast wind gusts to 20 mph made that not very enticing. Returned to Pacific City.
