Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

This is my second ride on Daunell's Sun EZ-3 USX HD Trike. This route generally contains hills that are more gradual than Saturday's ride. There is the last hill that is the same hill as Saturday's ride and is the steepest of them all. This ride is also twice as long.
Things I noticed this ride:
1) The wandering I felt was almost solely due to my getting used to the steering mechanism - along with the fact that the handlebars are adjusted for Daunell and not for me (i.e., I have to read a little). This causes a lot of the wander in my steering, which only happens when I reach for the water bottle;
2) There was not any noticeable pull to the left from the single rear wheel drive (my interpretation is that the hills were not steep enough, though I didn't even feel it on the steepest hill where I noticed it on my last ride. The difference is that I was just riding and not trying to ride fast);
3) Many of the complaints I had from my last ride are greatly diminished with more experience on this trike. Some of the change is due to getting used to it. Others is due to just riding and not trying to be fast.
With this ride being about just making the distance and not worrying about my speed, I still averaged a higher speed. Granted, the hills were less steep, but that also means the downhills were less steep. My last ride I hit over 38 MPH for a max speed going down hill. On this one, it is in the 20s. Today's ride was more reasonable and more representative of the general ride that will happen - though the uphill on my last ride is a hill I would take every day on my commute. However, It would be just as I was starting out and I would be taking it easy and not trying to race it.
In summary, the more I ride this trike, the more I like it. It is not a racer, but it is a comfortable general purpose human powered machine. I still would prefer the Hase Kettwiesel over this, but that is more a performance machine and costs about three and a half times as much.
