I went riding at the crack of dawn today. Of course, I stayed up all night and skipped my night meds. It was real cold in the first hour, but got into the 60's by the time I got back. I was reluctant to take off some of my cold weather gear while on the ride. I just didn't want to stop. Other than the slight cold, there was a fierce wind on the way back. It felt like I was climbing up a wall. Discomforts, my lower back was hurting a little after the first major climb. It wasn't so bad, I was stretching by getting out of the saddle and that seemed to help. My calf muscles started to bother me on the last quarter of the ride. Nothing major, but I wasn't expecting it. My bike continues to work well. Just a side note, there was this black lab that ran up to me on the way up old town road. He was a friendly dog and seemed to enjoy running next to me. He kept up with me for about a half mile or so :D.
