Olympic Discovery Trail Day 4

Well I blew the Port Townsend to Sequim Bay portion as my GPS experienced failure. Let me just say that the last 8 km of highway 20 before it gets to highway 101 is hairy! Really steep downhill, no shoulder and lots of traffic. After that you will actually start to see signs for the trail.
We spent the night at Sequim Bay Lodge which was nice and quite and very good value. A bit of a ride into Sequim but the Casino is just down the road and they will send a shuttle to pick you up. Good buffet there and a few other restaurants.
The trail from Sequim bay to Port Angeles is magnificent. A little bit of a roller coaster but worth it. Warning. If a sign says steep best get off. What the sign doesn't say is really, really slippery.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
