Part I of an out-and-back ride to evaluate an alternative to the route we used on Day 8, of Trans-Am Installment I. The original route had several roads un-suitable for bicycling. On this, the 2nd half of the Day 8 alternative, there are two short un-rideable segments. They total less than 0.3 miles in length. One is a set of steps, from the Cheat Lake Trail up to Lake Lynn Road. These steps are similar to city steps in Pittsburgh. The 2nd is a short stretch of Quarry Run Road where there are huge pot holes with large rocks protruding. Other than those two segments, the route is very rideable. If traveling East to West, if is mostly downhill.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
