Followed National highway 40 most of the way from Millersport. Ate at local hotdog restaurant and owner said my lunch was on the house for riding from Denver to DC. Stopped at Millersport Post Office to mail mom's birthday card and apparently they lost it. It never arrived. (it also included the Cleves Police Promo) In Zanesville a local policeman yelled at me to get off the city street and ride on the sidewalk. He said that is what they are made for and I was in the way of cars. So, I rode on the sidewalk in Zanesville. Ate at Subway and took half the footlong to eat for dinner. At the National Park Campground on the East side of town, the man put me in a bunk house for $20 instead of 15 for a tent site. Had electric and bed and bunk but no bedding. Used the sleeping bag on the bed. Also did laundry without soap. Squirted in a motel sized shampoo in the washer. Seemed to work fine. Earlier on the road between I got sick at my stomach. Only time on the whole trip. I had 2 hostess pies for breakfast, perhaps that was what caused it. I didn't do that again. It was either that or the hotdog and sourkraut didn't agree :-)
