Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I went to start out and realized I hadn't checked the air in the tires since we bought the trike at the beginning of May. The tires were too low and needed air. By the time I got my tire pump and got air put into all three tires, about 30 minutes had passed, so I got out 30 minutes later than planned. I wanted to beat the heat and have time to not be late to work. It worked out, however.
I started out pretty fast since I went down hill. I think it affected me psychologically and I was pedaling too fast most the way toe Freeman. As I turned on Freeman I was thinking, my legs are feeling a little sore from yesterday, I am really out of breath, how am I going to be able to climb Freeman. But, then I thought, I have been pedaling too fast. I will just focus on a steady cadence that is good for climbing and keep going. I could see the long 3.5 miles of climbing ahead of me including the steep climb near the end. Psychologically I was almost defeated already. I recognized the psychological effects and told myself, "Don't let yourself be psyched out. You know you can do this. It might not be very fast, but I will be able to keep going and make it."
Once I settled in and focused on pedaling at the right cadence and not too high a gear, my psychological state got back into line with where it should be. I enjoyed the ride and even took a few pictures.
