2nd and final ride out of Heber City. This isn't really a good road bike city and I don't plan on returning. Still, I had a fairly good 30+ mile ride this morning from the bike shop in town, down Hwy 40 and out of town on Hwy 189, around the reservoir and down past the dam. As I headed farther down the canyon I turned into a community called CANYON MEADOWS and rode up a 16 degree hill to the top.
The shoulder in town was a mess from highway construction (chip sealing) and the shoulders down 189 were mostly OK but scary once in a while when they shrunk to about 2 feet.
At least I got some exercise. Actually, good exercise, My NP was 155 and my IF was .750
I did 1,680' of climbing. I still don't have my legs from the big Triple Bypass last Saturday (only 4 days ago).
I averaged 17 mph which is just fine, but I'm a bit surprised by my heatrate. I worked fairly hard and yet my average was only 118 bpm. Either I'm getting in really good shape or something in my body is changing. I'll keep an eye on it.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
